Wellbeing Support
The AUCB Student Wellbeing Officer, Louise Knight, is here to promote the wellbeing of all students and to provide particular support to those with mental health difficulties. The Student Wellbeing Officer works with the Senior Disability Officer as part of the Disability and Learning Support team. If you are concerned about your own health – or the health of a fellow student – you can discuss your worries confidentially.
Who can access support from the Student Wellbeing
Officer?
Any of our students can
contact the Student Wellbeing Officer to discuss any concerns or
worries, particularly if you have mental health difficulties
or feel that you are struggling to remain on your course due to
personal issues.
How can the Student Wellbeing Officer
help me?
She will be able to
support you through difficult periods by offering regular support
sessions, where you can explore and discuss problems and possible
solutions. She will be able to refer you to any additional
services that you may benefit from, including the AUCB Counselling
Service, and provide you with information on external services that
are available in the local area. Assistance with accessing
benefits, advising what you may be entitled to and/or helping with
completing the forms is another role that the Student Wellbeing
Officer can provide.
