Employability

AUCB is committed to the promotion of employability and was ranked 4th in the UK (as the Arts Institute at Bournemouth) for graduate employment by the Times Higher Educational Supplement in 2008.

The industry experience and engagement of our academics, and the advice and guidance of our impartial careers service, mean that our students are provided with a wide range of subject-specific and generic advice on employability.

Taking a look at our courses will give you an idea of future careers and graduate success. If you’d like more guidance on choosing your career or would like to consider your options more fully, our qualified careers adviser is able to offer impartial advice and guidance about what to do when you’ve finished your degree. Whether you’re considering a change of direction, need advice to plan your next career move, or are considering further study, the University College Careers Service is there to support you.

Our Careers Service runs a programme of cross-course lectures throughout the year, covering subjects as diverse as “teaching for a career” to “starting your own business in the creative arts”.  There is also a range of specialist events such as the Creative Media Convention designed to bring you into contact with industry practitioners.

In addition, there is a selection of ‘Prospects’ information booklets in the Careers Centre for you to take away.
