The University College also won the Stand Design Award, with judges describing it as “visually strong with interesting structural shapes, whilst still being an exciting and inviting space”. Praising Ellie’s work, the judges added “We picked the winner because she has produced a brilliantly comprehensive and creative portfolio that shows true professionalism.”

Every year, Graduate Fashion Week showcases the very best BA Graduate fashion design talent in the UK. It stages a static exhibition of work from 52 courses and hosts the prestigious Gala Show and Awards presentation on the penultimate night.

The event aims to promote and nurture the talents of today’s young, creative innovators, so that tomorrow’s creative industries can continue to play a major role in the economy of the UK and the rest of the world.

Anthony Bednall, Head of School of Design at the University College said “Once again, this was a great event for the University College and underlines our excellent reputation within the fashion industry. GFW is a fantastic opportunity for all of our Fashion students to participate in and we’re particularly proud to have won three prestigious awards.”
