Orientation
All international and EU students are invited to participate in the Orientation Programme that has been set up for students across all courses to meet and to make new friends. This takes place before the start of the academic year and is organised by our International Student Adviser.
The Orientation programme for the 2012 academic year will take place on:
31st August 2012 – Preparation for Higher Education Students
17th September – 21st September 2012 – Higher Education Students
Please note that the Preparation for Higher Education Orientation Programme is a one day event only, however students are invited and encouraged to attend the beach party at the end of the Higher Education Orientation week.
The Orientation Programme covers various
topics and the majority of the students who attend think it is
‘informative & fun’!
Some of the topics covered are:
· Living in Bournemouth & studying at the University College
· Campus & studio tours
· English language support
· Presentation skills
· Study skills
· Cultural awareness
· British law

A very popular beach party is included as well as local walking tours and a tour of the local area (Jurassic Coast). Students also get the opportunity to meet their course tutors and key staff.
Full details of the programme, including a booking form are sent to new students in May.
