Modelmaking: Introduction

Equip yourself with the fundamentals of modelmaking.
Working in our state-of-the-art workshops, you can discover the
processes and material used within the professional modelmaking
industries. During this course, which is taught by our tutor from
our European leading modelmaking degree course, you will have the
opportunity to create a range of models.
You will learn mould making, armature building, working with plastics, wood, sculpting compounds, resin and silicones. In addition to this, you will be encouraged to develop your own abilities in this fascinating domain.
From film props to architectural models and museum replicas as well as models used by artists, hobbyists and designers, you will be challenged to produce professional models working in a rewarding, fun and vibrant environment.
What you need to bring:
Basic materials will be provided for this course however, you may need to purchase larger quantities of specialist materials depending on the scale of the models produced.
