When to enrol
Due to the popularity of the short evening courses we advise that you apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Classes are small and places are strictly limited. Enrolment is on a first come first served basis, however, we do hold a ‘waiting list’ for popular courses in case of cancellations.
How to enrol
Booking and payment can be made via the following:

By fax – Fax the form to 01202 853601
In person – visit us at the above office, we are based in the Enterprise Pavilion on the AUCB campus and our opening hours are:
Term time: 09:00-18:30 Monday to Thursday and 09:00-16:30 on Fridays.
Non-term time: 09:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday and 09:00-16:30 on Fridays.
When making your booking you must:
- Read the booking terms and conditions carefully (found in the brochure or on our website).
- Ensure you have enclosed your payment making sure that cheques are made payable to the Arts University College at Bournemouth and credit card details are correct.
- Complete the booking form making sure the contact details are correct.
- Ensure name on the booking form is printed clearly and spelt correctly as this will go on your certificate.
On receipt of your booking form and payment, and subject to availability of places on the course, we will send you confirmation of your booking which details your start date and time.
Cancellations and transfers
If you wish to cancel your place on a course, please contact the short course office at least 21 days prior to the course start date. If we receive this cancellation within the timescale you are entitled to a full refund.
Bank Holidays
There are no classes held on bank holidays, courses will continue over an extended period so that participants still have the advertised number of sessions to attend.
Non-attendance
Non-attendance of classes due to illness or for personal reasons does not provide the right to a refund, extra tuition or a transfer.
Age
We are unable to accept bookings from students under 16. Students who are aged 16-18 on 31st August 2011 are entitled to fee tuition when enrolling onto an ABC course.
Materials
All the course descriptions (found both in the brochure and on the website) list the materials which you will need to complete the course. You will need to bring these with you to your first class.
AUCB Library
As an AUCB student you are entitled to join our library during the time of your course. It is one of the most specialist art and design libraries in the country and provides resources to support all of our courses. To join, please take your enrolment form and two passport size photos to the library reception.
Certificates
If you are studying an ABC (the Awarding Body Consortium) accredited course, the ABC Awards will issue you a certificate after your portfolio of work has been assessed.
If you require an Arts University College certificate of attendance from us, please contact the short course office. You must attend a minimum of amount of classes in order to gain this certificate.
Parking
If you are attending an evening course there is limited amount of on-site parking after 3.30pm during the week, on-site parking is also available for Saturday classes.
If you are using public transport, there are regular buses which stop just outside the Wallisdown campus – please contact the Transdev Yellow Buses for more information and times.
Students with disabilities
We welcome applications from disabled people to our College; please contact us to discuss your support needs.
It is therefore important for students with disabilities to fill in Disability Disclosure Agreement and send it into us before they start on their course.
After enrolling
Please look out for your ‘welcome’ email or letter, which will be sent you after your booking has been processed. This gives full details of what to do and where to go for your first class.
