Online Application and Interview

How to apply

Once you have decided on the course for you, making a formal application direct to the University College is the next step.

You can apply online by clicking 'Apply Online' on each individual course page, or contact Admissions on 01202 363228 or e-mail admissions@aucb.ac.uk.

When to apply

Online applications can be made now. We receive the majority of applications between December and March as this allows students sufficient time to select a course and to build up enough relevant work in preparation for interview.

Application deadline

Our specialist courses are extremely popular and, for this reason, we recommend that you apply to us by the end of March. We will still consider your application after this time but will be unable to guarantee you an interview as the course may already be full.

What happens once you have sent in your application

If you meet our entry criteria then an interview date will be set and you will be invited to interview. We usually give at least 2 weeks notice of interview dates – if you cannot attend the scheduled date then please use the reply slip to let us know and a new date will be set. Please refer to specific course pages for interview and portfolio information as it is important that you prepare as well as possible for your interview.

What happens after your interview?

You will receive written confirmation of the outcome in writing, usually within ten working days. A conditional offer means that we are offering you a place on certain conditions, usually that you achieve certain grades in your examinations. The conditions of the offer will be detailed in your offer letter. A reply slip is included for you to accept or decline this offer.

We strongly advise that you respond to any offer as soon as possible. When you have been sent details of your grades or have successfully completed your current course, you will need to send evidence of this to Admissions (a photocopy of your results is acceptable). We will then be in touch with you with further information, including details about how best to prepare yourself for the start of your course.

Mature Students
Formal qualifications may be waived in special circumstances for mature candidates (over the age of 21) with a portfolio of an especially high standard.
