About Our Courses
Degree Courses
BA (Hons) Degree - this is the traditional university undergraduate degree programme (three years full time).
Foundation Degree (FdA) - this is a two year (full time) degree programme, for students looking for a practical, work based degree, or for those who might already be in the workplace or planning a career change. They offer an opportunity to articulate to the third year of a BA (Hons) Degree upon successful completion.
Postgraduate Study
The MA course offers pathways in Animation, Costume, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Photography, Contemporary Performance* and Illustration* and gives students the opportunity to build on their achievements, studying at an advanced level. Students from all pathways study together creating the potential for innovation and the collaboration of ideas and research methods.
Preparation for Higher Education
The University College offers three preparatory courses for students wishing to enter Higher Education;
- National Diploma in Art and Design
- National Certificate in Photography
- Foundation Diploma in Art and Design
We also offer a Year 0 option in relation to a number of our BA (Hons) Degrees.
Short Courses
The University College offers a variety of short courses in arts, design and media subjects throughout the year.
Study Abroad
Study Abroad is for students who want to spend time learning in the UK, but do not necessarily want to spend as much as 2-3 years studying.
Saturday Art School
The University College offers a ‘Saturday Art School’ for children of courses in art, design and media subjects throughout the year.
