Using Other Libraries

If the Library does not have what you need, you may be able to request an article or book using the inter-library loan scheme. Alternatively you can recommend resources to your Subject Librarian or Course Leader.

Staff and students at the Arts University College at Bournemouth may be eligible to use other libraries.

Bournemouth University

AUCB students and staff can join Bournemouth University library. Students will need to show their Library card and proof of their term time address. Staff will need to provide proof of employment at AUCB. Three standard loan books can be borrowed.

Sconul Access

SCONUL Access is a service which enables borrowing privileges or reference access to other higher education libraries of the UK and Ireland.

SCONUL Access provides borrowing privileges for most:

• academic staff on open or fixed term contracts

• postgraduate research students registered for a PhD, MPhil or similar qualification

• part-time, distance learning and placement students

• full-time postgraduates

SCONUL Access also provides for a reference only service for most:

• full-time undergraduate students

• staff of a few higher education libraries not participating in the reciprocal borrowing arrangements

Please see the Sconul Access website, ask at the Library counter or email us at library@aucb.ac.uk for more information.
