Joining the Library
Library membership is available to all students on courses at the University College. Membership ceases when your course finishes, although external membership is possible on payment of a yearly fee.
How to join
You must supply
two passport-sized photographs.
- You also need your enrolment number.
- You must fill in the relevant registration form and supply a second contact address.
A Library card will then be issued to you. You must produce this in order to borrow. Student cards are usually ready for collection 24 hours after joining. However, at the start of the academic year this may take slightly longer due to the numbers of cards to be processed.
Please remember you are responsible for items borrowed on your card: if you borrow something for a friend and they return it late, you will have to pay the fine.
External membership
All visitors to the Library may use the books and journals for reference only. Alternatively, external membership is available, which entitles the member to borrow three standard loan books. There may be a charge for membership. Please ask at the Library counter for more information.
