The Library Online: Bringing Your Assignments to Life
The Arts University College at Bournemouth subscribes to a wide range of online resources. Some are in the form of indexes that provide details of journal articles and where to find them, others will provide the full text of the article or book, a video or sound clips.
What is the Library Online?
The Library
Online is a collection of web based resources, which
include databases of searchable journal articles, e-books, online
video resources, sound archives and other information resources
that are available 24 hours a day.
Most of these resources have been created for use as academic research tools, giving access to academic publications either through abstacts or in full text as they were originally published.
Why should I use the Library
Online?
The content of these online
resources is not usually available through traditional search
engines, and is often of a higher academic standard and
reliability than most information found on the internet.
How can the Library Online help
me?
Research is more than just looking at websites and using search
engines. The Library subscribes to the main art, design & media
resources available online, and using these will help you to
improve the quality of your research and written work.
Where do I find the Library Online?
A full
list of online resources can be found using the list at the
top of this page. Alternatively talk to your Subject
