Welcome to the Arts University College at Bournemouth Library

This purpose built library is a state of the art building, the design of which reflects both attention to detail and the use of high quality materials and landscaping. It reflects the core values of a creative community.

With a team of professional staff and wide range of resources focussed on the study of art, design and media we aim to help all students at the Arts University College at Bournemouth to realise their full potential both during their studies and beyond.

Resources in the Library

The Library has over 45,000 books covering a huge range of art, design and media subjects, with a further collection of more than 40,000 e-books all of which can be found and accessed through the Library catalogue.

In addition the Library has over 300 specialist journal and magazine titles on the shelves, with many available online.

The Library has a large collection of audivisual material from CDs of traditional and contemporary music, sound effects or speech training for actors to a large collection of feature films, animation and documentaries as well as programmes recorded from the television on DVD and online, all of which are specially selected to support our course offering.

 

The Library Online

The Library provides access to a comprehensive collection of online resources. These allow students and staff at the Arts University College at Bournemouth to search for journal, magazine and newspapers articles, e-books, images, video and sound clips, providing 24 hour access to these resources.
