Strategic Aims
We support enhancing excellence in learning and teaching as it provides a high quality learning experience for our students, promotes and nurtures research, scholarship and professional development and encourages our academic community to discuss and challenge ideas freely.
Our Learning Strategy (LS) will:
- Enhance the student learning experience by ensuring that students are supported to achieve their potential, creatively and intellectually, preparing them for aspirational and sustainable employment and life-long learning.
- Develop staff to meet the highest professional standards.
- Enhance learning through research and scholarly activity.
- Ensure initiatives are managed to bring demonstrable improvement to the quality of learning opportunities.
Higher Education Academy
The University College encourages staff to take up membership of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and leads and participates in Higher Education Academy projects.
National Teaching Fellowship
In 2004 the University College welcomed the award of a National Teaching Fellowship to a member of its academic staff.
